Fresh Escapes are delighted to be offering, Private Chef – Harrie Kivell, the Owner of Boo to a Goose to our Luxury Homestays

In 2011 Harrie attended Le Cordon Bleu in London, studying both cuisine and pastry. Her training has given her a tremendous depth
of knowledge and understanding of the culinary arts; enabling her to carry out a fine dining service that the most discerning of customers relish and enjoy.

Whether our Guests need a Birthday / Wedding cake, a private dinner party, canapés or a private chef for your weekend in a holiday cottage –

Harrie is your girl!

Harrie can create bespoke menus and dishes for our guests and she is experienced in providing for varying dietary requirements.
Including gluten free wedding cakes or dairy free desserts.

Ever fancied having a dinner party whereby all the stress of cooking is done for you so you can enjoy the precious time with your friends?

As a fully qualified private chef Harrie and her team are just the people to make this happen…

She can discuss how you envisage your night going and the theme of the evening; it could be anything from classical menu to an all singing all dancing Mexican fiesta. She will then create some bespoke menus for you and ensure you have a fabulous evening. Cooked, served, cleared and washed up seamlessly and discretely so you can relax and enjoy you evening.

As a private chef based in Devon, there is nothing Harrie loves more than cooking for guests in a relaxed and sociable environment whether it be for a special occasion, private holiday catering or just an excuse to get friends together for some delicious food.


What guests relish most about a ‘private dining’ experience with her is that the evening can be exactly how they want it to be with exactly what they want to be.

So how does it work

Organising a private chef experience is the perfect way to create a memorable experience for holidaymakers celebrating special occasions or reunions of family and friends, especially after the long pandemic period where our contact has been limited. We want to make the whole process as simple as possible, from understanding what you want from your experience and your requirements right through to the last morsel of food left on the plate!

Understanding Your Needs
When organising your private dining experience, let us know what sort of experience you’re after. The details will really help to ensure that you get exactly what you would like. Are you looking for a particular cuisine? Does the birthday boy have a favourite food or ingredient? Harrie and her team will carefully look at your exact requirements. From here, Harrie will create bespoke menus specifically tailored to you and your guests in a personal way, from taste requirements, allergies and budget.

Securing Your Experience
Once crafted to exactly what you would like from your dining experience, Boo to a Goose would then require a 50% deposit once a menu has been decided on, which secures your dates and ensures that the experience will go off with a bang.

What Happens on the Day?
It’s the day of your celebration, and you’re excited that your culinary dreams are about to come true! Harrie and her team will arrive at an agreed time and begin preparing and cooking your meal, before serving it right in front of your eyes… All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the food! Afterwards, the team will clear away your meal, do the dishes, and of course leave the kitchen spotless! What could be better?
